Shocking Revelation: SNL alum Ana Gasteyer claims P Diddy had a list of demands during show appearance… Read More

Former Saturday Night Live star Ana Gasteyer recently revealed that Sean “P.Diddy” Combs stressed the show’s cast and writers when he appeared on the show as a musical guest.
The SNL actress made the revelation during her appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast, which was co-hosted by SNL’s Bowen Yang and comedian Matt Rogers, on Wednesday. She divulged on the show that the disgraced musical mogul had “shut down like the whole building” when he came on on the sketch show in 1998.
You can tell the five a——- in the six years that I was there when they would be like, ‘So and so is in the building, everybody stay in your dressing rooms!'” Ana recalled.
Which is applicable if you’re a presidential candidate. But apart from that, really it’s my house,” she added. Ana starred on SNL from 1996 to 2002
Ana further alleged that the Bad Boy Records founder required “a totally closed set.”
The rapper performed his song Come With Me when he performed on SNL in 1998. Since Come With Me sampled Led Zeppelin’s hit song Kashmir, Zeppelin’s guitarist Jimmy Page joined Diddy on stage along with a 40-piece orchestra for the performance.
Diddy’s demand wasn’t received well by some of the show’s performers and staff members so they found a funny way to push back. Ana explained that it was brought up in a writers’ room meeting that then cast member Will Ferrell, who was dressed in his SNL “Ron” costume, would bust into the closed set.
“They were like, ‘Wouldn’t it be so funny if Ron just went in?’ And he did,” Ana claimed. “He went on down the stairs and he marched right in.”
According to Ana, she has an alleged video of the incident showing, “from the control room where Sean Combs is rapping [during rehearsal] and Ron is walking around looking really disoriented.”
Ana called it “the greatest thing that’s ever happened,” claiming that Diddy wasn’t for his rehearsal time being crashed.
“He did not roll with it,” she said. “He was very uncomfortable.”
Will, who starred on SNL from 1995 to 2002, has corroborated Ana’s story in the past.
“Someone said, ‘Ron should go up onstage,’” he told Vulture in 2020, “and before everyone turned to see, I had sprinted out the door.”
The Mirror has reached out to Diddy’s team for comment. In 2024, Diddy has gone from a thriving music magnate to a disgraced music mogul who is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York as he awaits trial. Diddy was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering in September; however, he’s pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
