Despite being close to the Sussexes, the Princess of York has continued to show solidarity with Prince William

Princess Eugenie is set to “promote friendship and peace” during an upcoming public appearance, a commentator has claimed.

The Princess of York, 34, is known to be one of the few members of the British Royal Family who has remained close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as she travelled to visit the couple in the US in 2022.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently purchased a holiday home in Portugal, which is where Eugenie lives with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Despite being close to the Sussexes, Eugenie has continued to show solidarity with Prince William, who has been locked in a royal rift with his brother Prince Harry for many years.

For example, Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter attended the Prince of Wales’s Buckingham Palace Garden Party earlier this year, later writing on Instagram that she would always support her family “come rain or shine”.

Princess Eugenie, along with her older sister Princess Beatrice, will likely attend Princess Kate’s Christmas carol concert next month, as they have attended the event every year in the past.

James Harris, the Regional Sales Manager at Austen & Blake, spoke exclusively to GB News about the approach the York sisters will take with their fashion.

He claimed Princess Eugenie will “promote friendship” as she embraces her new role in the Royal Family as a peacemaker.

The stunning set has been worn by Eugenie on several occasions and the rich green emeralds are distinctive, yet sophisticated – oozing festive elegance.

“Wearing emeralds is also said to promote friendship and peace, making them the perfect choice for a warm-hearted Christmas concert.”

Beatrice and Eugenie will likely attend alongside their respective husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.

This would mark Sienna’s first official appearance alongside the Royal Family.

Harris continued: “Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are known for their love of vintage and sentimental jewellery, often choosing pieces with personal significance for events like royal appearances.

“For the Christmas Carol Concert, which is a more formal, yet festive occasion, they may choose to select pieces that reflect both elegance and a personal touch.”
