The UK monarch is set to display family unity this Christmas – and that involves extending an offering to Prince Andrew according to reports

King Charles has reportedly made a peace offering to Prince Andrew amid their ongoing feud over Royal Lodge, the disgraced Duke of York’s home.

According to new reports, the King is planning to host a grand Christmas party in order to bolster family unity after a year marred by health concerns, with his younger brother anticipated to attend.

Despite the Royal Lodge complications – and his exile from official royal duties in 2019 following links to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein – Andrew will reportedly join the festive event, according to The Mirror.

The brothers are currently embroiled in a row over Royal Lodge, from which Charles reportedly wants to evict Andrew, who has a 75-year lease to the property and is desperately trying to hold onto it.

Insiders indicate that the King is adamant about maintaining family unity, particularly during the Christmas season.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Edward and Sophie, and their two children, Lady Louise, 20, and James, Earl of Wessex, 16, are also expected to attend.

This Christmas party will be the first time the Royal Family has convened in full following a turbulent year for the monarch and the Princess of Wales, who were diagnosed with cancer within days of each other.

Insiders have shared that the King is “delighted” to have William, Kate, and their three children – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine and Prince Louis, six – confirmed for Christmas. He’s reportedly already started planning celebrations with them and getting his Sandringham home ready to welcome the family to Norfolk for the festive holidays.

Royal insiders revealed how Charles has been touring the estate and main house this week, busy liaising with staff about Christmas plans.

One told The Mirror: “The King is embracing the Christmas period already and really getting into the spirit. Staff who have seen him this week remarked how happy and healthy he was looking.”

A source close to the King added: “His Majesty has taken great solace in being among nature and enjoying time outdoors throughout his cancer treatment.

It’s something he believes has helped him incredibly throughout his ordeal. He is very much looking forward to spending quality time with as many of his close family as possible.”

The King made a brief return to London on Tuesday to continue his weekly treatment plan and present credentials to foreign ambassadors and high commissioners at Buckingham Palace before quickly returned to Sandringham.
