Just In: Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner, and Ben Affleck Had an Unexpected Family Reunion… Read More
There was a surprise family reunion in Brentwood over the weekend, when Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck attended a community event—and were later joined by Jennifer Lopez. TMZ, which obtained photos from the impromptu meet-up, reports that last Friday night, the trio of very amicable exes met up for a casual evening event with kids Seraphina and Emme, who brought friends along for the night’s activities. Page Six adds that Garner and Affleck arrived first and Lopez arrived a few minutes after.
Via TMZ, Lopez can be seen wearing a chambray jumpsuit and clear, heeled mules. Garner and Affleck bundled up and both wore faded jeans and cozy-looking jackets. Last month, Lopez and Affleck were reportedly seen together at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and at a school event.
The outlet adds that there’s no confirmation that Lopez spoke to Affleck or Garner, though there’s apparently no tension between the group. In fact, Lopez has an “unexpected ally” in Garner, with insiders saying that the superstar singer has been leaning on the Deadpool & Wolverine actress.
“She’s been helpful to J.Lo, and they’ve been relating to each other,” a source shared with Us Weekly. “Jennifer has been a surprising person for J.Lo to talk to.”
Garner and Affleck divorced in 2018 (they separated before that in 2015). Lopez and Affleck are still working through their divorce after the Hustlers star filed on August 20, 2024.
According to sources close to Lopez, she’s ready to move on and focus on acting and hopes that her new role in Unstoppable will earn her an Oscar nomination.
“She wants next year to be her best year ever to show the world her crummy love life did not get her down. She will rise,” a friend told the Daily Mail. “She wants an Oscar for Unstoppable. She is sensational in it, I saw the movie and wow, she nails it. I think a lot of people have discounted her acting skills because she is such a glamazon but this film is a wake-up call, like, ‘Hey guys, she can really act her pants off.'”
