Whether it was as an opponent on the field or as a rival broadcaster, Ryan Fitzpatrick just can’t stand Tom Brady.

In a social media post following Week 7 of the NFL season, Fitzpatrick continued to take shots at his nemesis, who he believes consistently disrespected him as they clashed in AFC East battles throughout their careers.

This time around, Fitzpatrick took a shot at new rules limiting Brady’s analysis in the Fox broadcast booth.

“Hey @TomBrady any calls by the refs or teams you have criticisms for lately?” Fitzpatrick jeered on X, formerly Twitter. “Just curious to get your take on all the flags?”

When Brady formally became a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders this month, a series of NFL rules came with it. Brady can no longer step foot on opposing teams’ facilities or interact with their staff. He also cannot publicly criticize officials or teams.

While those rules are clearly fungible, Fitzpatrick wants to tease Brady for not being able to do his job to the fullest extent possible.

It may feel good for Fitzpatrick, who previously told stories on Pardon My Take of Brady talking down to him as an opposing quarterback, to get the jab in. He’s sitting pretty with a comfy job on Prime Video’s NFL studio show.

But Brady is already adjusting. Fox set up an interview between Brady and Patrick Mahomes at the Chiefs’ hotel in San Francisco for America’s Game Of the Week in Week 7. Brady’s role continues to expand — both on camera and in hologram form.

Fox knew Brady was pursuing an ownership stake in the Raiders when it gave him a historic $375 million deal to be its lead NFL game analyst. The rest of us are simply catching up to this new reality.

Fitzpatrick can get all the jokes and jabs in that he wants, but Brady will once again get the last laugh. A massive paycheck, a gig calling the Super Bowl, and being the talk of sports media all year are more than enough for the seven-time Super Bowl champion to ignore Fitzpatrick’s posts.
