Just In: Prince William Shares Beloved Photo of Late Mother Princess Diana Ahead of New Documentary Premiere… See More
Prince William is preparing to release his brand-new documentary, Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, which has a special connection to his late mother, Princess Diana.
This week, the Prince of Wales, 42, posted a slideshow of photos on his personal Instagram page to promote the upcoming doc. The post featured several never-before-seen pictures of his charity work, but it was the throwback photo of Princess Diana that caught my attention.
If you scroll to the sixth slide, you’ll see an old photo of Prince William sitting next to his mother. The photo was taken at The Passage shelter in London, where Prince William first volunteered with the homeless.
There are multiple similarities between the photo of Princess Diana and the present-day pics of Prince William, including everything from their candid expressions to their relaxed body language. It appears the Prince of Wales is following in her footsteps after all.
The caption read, “Watch Prince William: We Can End Homelessness this coming Wednesday and Thursday, on @itv and @itvxofficial The documentary follows the first year of @homewardsuk—a five-year programme founded by The Prince and The Royal Foundation which aims to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness—making it rare, brief and unrepeated.”
Prince William: We Can End Homelessness revolves around the royal’s five-year initiative, Homewards, launched in partnership with The Royal Foundation in June 2023. Per the official website, it aims to “give people across the U.K. hope that homelessness can be prevented by showing them the progress we can make when we collaborate.”
The two-part ITV documentary explores the charity’s beginnings, highlights the stories of people facing homelessness in the U.K. and features appearances by several advocates fighting to end homelessness.
Guess I’ll have to watch the documnetary to see if there are more subtle tributes to Princess Diana.
