Latest Update: Jennifer Lopez faces more questions about relationship with Diddy….. See More
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is awaiting trial for charges including sex trafficking
Jennifer Lopez has been noticeably reserved when approached about recent legal allegations facing her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who currently awaits trial on charges including sex trafficking.
With mounting curiosity around what Lopez may have known during her relationship with Combs from 1999 to 2001, the multi-talented star has made no public comment.
Her silence persisted even after paparazzi attempted to engage her during several public outings, including a film screening for Unstoppable and a dinner with her manager, Benny Medina, in Los Angeles.
Lopez was recently spotted at a fan event where, upon leaving, a woman asked if she had “any comments about P. Diddy?”
In footage obtained by the Daily Mail, Lopez appeared to ignore the question entirely, leaving the venue with her bodyguard by her side.
Days earlier, paparazzi caught her leaving an LA restaurant after dinner, and when asked again about Combs’ situation, Lopez offered no response.
This silence comes at a time when the spotlight is heavily on the former rap mogul, with ongoing court cases that cast a shadow on his past associations.
Ex-associates distance themselves from Diddy
Lopez is not the only celebrity remaining tight-lipped about Combs’ legal entanglements. Another of his previous collaborators, Kevin Hart, declined to discuss his involvement with Combs’ “Bad Boy” parties, calling the paparazzi question “wrong.”
In a separate revelation, former Playboy model Rachel Kennedy recalled being made to watch Lopez’s music video at one of Combs’ controversial “Freak Off” parties.
It was kind of an odd thing to find out that we were watching [Lopez’s] video,” Kennedy said, describing the experience as “creepy.”
She further alleged that during an encounter with Combs in 2000, he was on the phone with Lopez, suggesting the singer’s involvement at least in his social life at the time.
Lopez has neither been implicated in any of Combs’ alleged activities nor named in any lawsuits. However, attorney Tony Buzbee, representing several of Combs’ alleged victims, has hinted that more names of “powerful people” could be added to the case.
“The day will come when we will name names other than Sean Combs… The names will shock you,” Buzbee stated in a recent press conference.
Combs, facing multiple civil cases, is also under federal investigation for sex trafficking, racketeering, and related charges. While Combs has pleaded not guilty, he is currently held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
His trial, expected to draw significant media attention, is set to begin in May 2025. As Combs’ history is put under the microscope, Lopez and others from his past continue to tread carefully, distancing themselves from the mounting scandal.
