The Duke of Sussex stopped by the Canadian Football League’s championship game to promote his Invictus Games

Prince Harry is getting behind the broadcast booth for a good reason.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, made a surprise appearance on Sunday, Nov. 17, at Toronto’s Grey Cup to promote the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada.

During Prince Harry’s appearance on TSN, he mentioned that this was his first time attending the Grey Cup. “Really looking forward to the game getting started,” he said of the Canadian Football League’s championship game between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Toronto Argonauts.

Let’s go!” he added when speaking with commentator James Duthie.

He also spoke about what position he would play if he was part of the Canadian Football League. “I think quarterback is a cool place to be,” Prince Harry said.

At the 2024 Grey Cup, the Blue Bombers are favored to win the game that will take place in front of more than 50,000 spectators. The Jonas Brothers are slated to perform during halftime.

The Invictus Games, which Prince Harry is a patron of and established in 2014, will take place in Vancouver and Whistler next February. He founded the games that offer “a recovery pathway for international wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women,” the Invictus Games website states.

The games “collaborate to provide opportunities for post-traumatic growth: enabling those involved to reclaim their purpose, identity and future, beyond injury.”

Prince Harry released a video in September promoting the upcoming games.

“Sport has the ability to heal, to change lives and to save lives. For so many of these competitors, getting to the start line can be one of the hardest moments of their life. But at the Games, their lives are changed,” he said in the clip shared on X (formerly Twitter).

“Watching these magical moments happen and sport being the facilitator of that is very, very special for all of us to witness,” Prince Harry added.

Indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball are among the sports that over 500 competitors from 25 nations will be competing in.

Winter sports such as alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, Nordic skiing, skeleton and wheelchair curling will be part of the slated events for the first time in 2025.
