Breaking News: After Ditching Travis Kelce, Will Taylor Swift Attend Chiefs’ Week 4 Game vs. Chargers? .. Read On
As the Chiefs continue their preparation for the Chargers clash in Los Angeles, one question hovers around this much-anticipated game. Will Taylor Swift be there to support her struggling boyfriend after she missed last week’s game in Atlanta? While Swift was nowhere to be seen at Mercedes-Benz Arena, Travis Kelce continued his horror start to the season.
Since attending the first two games in Kansas City, Swift was expected to be there to support her three-time Super Bowl Champion boyfriend. Despite a free schedule until October 18th, Taylor wasn’t there to lift the spirits of her partner. As Kelce finished his night with four receptions for 30 yards and no touchdowns, Swift was spotted elsewhere.
Enjoying her night away from Kelce, Swift was noticed in New York City with her close friend Gigi Hadid. They had reportedly grabbed a meal at The Corner Store restaurant while enjoying a girls’ night out in the buzzing city of New York. Even a close aide from Taylor shed light on her uncalled absence from the game in Atlanta. “Going to the game in Atlanta wasn’t possible because she had scheduled time with some friends, like Gigi Hadid. Whom she spent time with on the weekend, and other friends that she hasn’t seen in a while,” shared an insider.
Well, who could blame Taylor Swift for missing out on the Chiefs last week with commitments elsewhere, but the 14 times Grammy winner did congratulate Kelce for the win. “They talked on the phone before the game and after the game, too. She wanted to congratulate him on the win!” Amid the reasons behind Swift not attending last weekend’s clash, her chances of being present at the Chargers clash couldn’t be bigger.
Swift has fond memories of her previous visits to Sofi Stadium, where she performed at six sold-out Eras Tour concerts. The team has already landed two wins in her presence, and who knows, it might help Kelce come out from his rough patch this season.
Travis Kelce opening up on his struggles this season
When a player like Kelce is experiencing a tough time on the field, people like to gossip about the possible reasons behind it. And one of the reasons Kelce did not perform to his best could be due to his newfound popularity with Taylor Swift. However, Kelce has since denied those allegations while questioning his abilities, “I think this year stats may say something different, but at the same time you’ll see the same person inside this building, and that’s all I really care about. I’m my own worst critic.”
While Travis Kelce appears to criticize himself, he maintains trust in his homie Patrick Mahomes, “I got all the trust in Patrick Mahomes to make the right decision, and he’s been making great decisions.” With the Chiefs’ TE struggling to put on numbers, WR Rashee Rice has been a revelation for the Chiefs offense. After three games into the season, Rice has caught 12 catches for 110 yards, alongside one touchdown.
