Breaking News: Eras Tour Opener Makes Bold Declaration About Taylor Swift Habit She Doesn’t ‘Understand… See more
One of the singers who opened for Taylor Swift’s hit international Eras Tour in London, England, has revealed which of the pop superstar’s performance habits she finds hard to comprehend.
Raye, who opened for Swift at Wembley Stadium on Aug. 20, spoke about her experience during a recent interview with Billboard. The British singer said that while being part of the Eras Tour was “so intimidating,” it was also “an honor.”
The 26-year-old described Swift, 34, as “the nicest, sweetest human being” who is, despite her life in the spotlight, “a really normal, lovely person.” Raye then mentioned her amazement at how much time the “Cruel Summer” songstress spends onstage
Sorry—I don’t understand how that beautiful woman gets up onstage for three hours, and slays the thing down, and still took the time, do you know what I mean, to say hello,” she said, adding that she and Swift “had a lovely chat.” Having that experience made Raye fall “in love with her even more,” she added.
Raye opened for the 14-time Grammy Award winner on the Eras Tour’s final night in London. The day after the show, she posted a photo of herself with Swift on Instagram and wrote that she was “so grateful” for the opportunity
Swift initially brought the tour to Wembley Stadium for three consecutive nights in June before returning for a five-night run in August. The Aug. 20 show also closed out the tour’s swing through Europe and the U.K., after which Swift began a two-month break from performing.
The “Fortnight” singer is less than two weeks away from resuming her tour for a string of dates in the U.S. She is scheduled to perform three nights each in Miami, Fla., New Orleans, La., and Indianapolis, Ind., starting on Friday, Oct. 18. Her tour will then head to Canada, where it will officially come to a close in early December
