A postshared on social media purports that X CEO Elon Musk banned actor Robert De Niro from the platform.

Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have indicated some of the funding the Department of Government Efficiency will seek to cut, this includes funding for The Corporation for Public Broadcasting and Planned Parenthood, CBS News reported. The two revealed these plans in a piece for Wall Street Journal, which said they aim to cut $500 Billion in annual spending, the outlet reported.

A post shared on Facebook claims that Musk banned De Niro from X. The post shared an image of each of the men.

The caption reads, “Robert De Niro is permanently barred from X by Elon Musk, who says there is ‘no room for his woke presence.’”

The claim is inaccurate. The claim stems from a satirical news outlet SpaceXMania.com. The article offers no sources for the claim.

In a 2015 interview, it was revealed that De Niro does not use social media and still owns a flip phone, according to Vanity Fair.
