Patrick Mahomes, the three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, has pulled a Michael Jordan when it comes to Election Day.

Mahomes, 29, doesn’t believe that he should be influencing anyone’s vote. The former Texas Tech quarterback is keeping his opinions to himself, despite being such a public figure. Mahomes told TIME Magazine earlier this year that he feels that everyone should do their own research and form their own opinions. Mahomes doesn’t think that celebrities should be influencing people’s votes.

“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” Mahomes said, per Time magazine.

“I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”

Mahomes’ family, meanwhile, is quite different.

Monday night, Mahomes’ family made it clear where it stands politically. Patrick’s mom, Randi, announced that she would be voting for Donald J. Trump in the election.

Randi Mahomes, who has three children, rocked some Make America Great Again gear to the Monday Night Football Game between the Chiefs and the Bucs.

“Make America great again, let’s do it!”

Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, also appears to lean right. She’s made it clear that she is supportive of many of the policies that the Trump campaign is running on and pushing for.

Earlier this year, she liked a post that featured statements like: “Keep men OUT of women’s sports,” “Carry out the largest deportation operation in American history,” and “Cut federal funding for any school pushing Critical Race Theory, Radical Gender Ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children.”

Jackson Mahomes, the brother of the Chiefs quarterback, has also supported Donald Trump on social media. He posted a supportive photo of the 45th president of the United States of America after the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania back in July.

Patrick Mahomes, meanwhile, seems to be the opposite of his family, at least publicly speaking. He’s choosing to keep his opinions to himself, likely to avoid distractions.

Of course, his family has no problem making as many headlines as possible, which shouldn’t be too surprising based on their history.
