Meghan Markle has kept a “weapon” in her “back pocket” should she ever need to use it, claims a royal expert.
Meghan Markle keeps a “weapon” in her “back pocket” from her time as a senior working royal in case she ever feels the need to get revenge, an expert has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex quit her royal duties alongside Prince Harry in 2020 before deciding to eventually relocate to Montecito, California, where they live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Ex-BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine that Meghan has stayed clear from controversy over the past couple of years, and not revealing personal details about her time in the Firm.
However, the royal expert believes Meghan has a weapon should she wish to use it. She explains: “Obviously the journal she mentioned will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge. But she has behaved with discretion and dignity ever since Oprah and the documentary series.”
n 2022, Meghan hinted at a journal from her royal days, fuelling rumours of another tell-all. The Duchess famously spoke to the Cut and opened up about one of her visits back to the UK that year while packing her stuff up from Frogmore Cottage.
Meghan told the Cut: “You go back and you open drawers and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh’. This is what I was writing in my journal there?”
Her comments prompted many royal watchers to speculate about whether the Duchess would ever pen her own book, with Roya Nikkah, the Sunday Times Royal Editor, commenting on True Royalty TV’s Royal Beat: “She’s mentioned a couple of times in the last year or two that she kept a journal, and I think there is a very strong inference that Meghan could write her own memoir.”
Princess Kate’s favourite dessert revealed
Princess Kate’s favourite dessert has been revealed.
According to the chef of one of her beloved pubs in Stanford Dingley, The Old Boot Inn, the future Queen is very keen on a good old sticky toffee pudding.
Chef Rody Warot told People: “Kate is always discreet and has always complimented the dishes with great kindness… For dessert, her favourite is sticky toffee pudding. It’s moist and spongy
King made unusual name request to daughter-in-law, claims Harry
Prince Harry claimed in his 2023 memoir Spare that King Charles and Queen Camilla made an unusual request to Princess Kate over the spelling of her name Catherine.
Harry, 40, said the King and Queen wanted Kate to spell her real name Catherine with a K instead of a C as there were already two royal cyphers with the letter C in them.
It is believed Kate turned down the request.
Princess Kate and Meghan Markle share something in common, expert claims
While the sister-in-laws have not always seen eye to eye, both the Princess of Wales, 42, and the Duchess of Sussex, 43, are using their “star power” to get key messages across, especially when it comes to helping people who are less fortunate.
A royal expert also said that both women are working hard to help support certain charities, using their status as a way to get publicity for these important causes and to raise awareness.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told The Sun: “Catherine and Meghan are indeed two very different women and are now on very different paths.
“Everything Catherine does is to help others, the disadvantaged, the young, and now those suffering from cancer.
“It’s not for money, or fame or self-aggrandisement. It is to help people who are in trouble or difficulty and to do good. I believe Meghan is also using her star power to bring attention to certain causes and people who need help.”
Harry and Meghan will ‘have zero impact’ in new neighbourhood, local says
A local estate agent in Portugal said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will make “zero impact” on the neighbourhood if they have brought a house in Melides.
He said: “In recent years we have seen A-listers from the States buying homes or plots which are essentially closed environments. It’s very high-end and homes range from four to 20 million euros.
“There have been rumours in recent months that Harry and Meghan are among the latest buyers. But it’s unclear if they have bought a home that is already built or if it is yet to be built.
“We have much richer and much more famous people buying here for sure. I think they will have zero impact, to be honest.
A royal expert has praised Princess Kate for her modern approach to social media including heartfelt messages.
Jennie Bond exclusively told OK!: “This is such an effective and modern way of using her influence and staying in touch, even when she is not making personal appearances.
“Official statements from the Palace now seem quite stuffy and extremely formal by comparison.
“Social media can be a source of awful abuse, but Catherine and William are showing that it can be used to spread goodwill and kindness
