Breaking News: Taylor Swift’s Body Language at Last Night’s Yankees Game Says a Lot About the State of Her Relationship…. See more
Mere days after Taylor Swift was photographed in a corset and leather mini skirt having a date night in NYC with boyfriend Travis Kelce, 35, the duo made another public appearance—this time, at a Yankees game.
Last night, Swift, 34, took a brief break from being the richest female musician in the world (true story) to take in a ball game. (Celebs, they’re just like us only with box seats and sitting next to their world famous BF and former Golden Globes host Jerrod Carmichael.)
As Tay and Trav looked on, the New York Yankees played the Cleveland Guardians in game one of the American League Championship Series. Naturally, while they watched the game, I (and Swifties everywhere) watched them and their body language—and guys, you can learn a lot about a couple during nine innings.
As body language expert Darren Stanton previously told me (on behalf of Spin Genie), “The PDA from the pair was very full on for a while, holding hands and kissing in public, but this seems to have decreased as time has gone on.” This was in reference to their appearance together at the U.S. Open in September.
And yet, lo and behold, the PDA (though subtle) was certainly back at yesterday’s game. Footage posted on the MLB X (formerly Twitter) account shows the pair high-fiving, followed by some long, lingering hand holding and rubbing.
The manner in which the pair naturally intertwines their fingers without making a big show of things clearly indicates that they’ve reached a stable and much more comfortable level of their relationship.
As I previously pointed out regarding Swift’s body language at Kelce’s recent football game, “New love is often marked by giddiness, silliness and wild displays of affection. We certainly got plenty of those from Swift and Kelce early on. But as their relationship has evolved and matured, it seems that they are in a much more grounded and comfortable place—likely a good sign for the future.”
This definitely appears to be the case based on their easy conversation during yesterday’s outing while still maintaining body contact. You can see it further as they lean in toward one another, Kelce placing a hand gently on her shoulder.
Even their casual dress—baseball caps and comfy clothes—says that they are past the early stage where they need to constantly dress up to impress the other. (That’s not to say Taylor can’t still turn a look when she wants, but you get my point.)
Fans like myself have seen many versions of Swift over the years as she’s evolved. And now I’m glad to see that Swift and Kelce have moved beyond the initial butterflies and rainbows phase to the more mature, comfortable relationship 2.0.
