How much money did Tom Brady donate to those affected by Hurricane Milton?
Now working as a sports analyst, Tom Brady shared in a Instagram story this Thursday, October 10, that he will be donating $100,000 to community aid following the devastation of Hurricane Milton in Tampa, Florida.
“In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I’ll be making a donation of $100k to help get essentials like food, water, and first aid to fellow Floridians in need,” – part of the message of Brady on Instagram.
The food and product delivery service GoPuff will match Brady’s donation to support those affected by the natural disaster. “My friends at (Gopuff) are matching this, along with all the other donations made via ‘Give with Gopuff,’ all benefiting the Volunteer Florida Foundation,” Brady added.
Brady didn’t stop at giving Tampa the Super Bowl LV title in 2020; even after retirement, he continues to support the community. He took the opportunity to send a message to Florida residents, urging them to follow authorities’ instructions and to help others during this tough time.
“Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out any way you’re able. Stay safe, and stay strong Florida.”
Sports venues affected by Hurricane Milton in Florida
The home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where Tom Brady played, the Raymond James Stadium, was one of the properties that concerned NFL fans the most. So far, only the playing field has been reported as flooded, but the facilities appear to be unaffected.
