FORMER United States President, Donald Trump became the first ex-President of the U.S. found guilty of felony.

He was found guilty on all the felony charges preferred against him on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

A Manhattan Jury found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records he faced in his New York hush money criminal trial.

Trump is the first president in US history to be convicted of a felony.
Prosecutors accused Trump of taking part in an illegal conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 election and an unlawful plan to suppress negative information, which included concealing a hush money payment to an adult film star.

Trump slammed the trial after the verdict, calling it a “disgrace” and “rigged.”

Judge Juan Merchan denied Trump’s move for an acquittal of the charges and set a sentencing hearing for July 11.

What Trump Said After Court Verdict

“Our whole country is being rigged right now,” Trump told reporters after leaving the courtroom. “This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound or hurt an opponent, a political opponent.”

Trump’s legal team is not planning a formal statement for now, letting his comments stand as their initial statement on the verdict.

Donald Trump was defiant in his remarks following Thursday’s guilty verdict in his hush money trial.

“We’ll keep fighting, we’ll fight til the end and we’ll win because our country’s gone to hell,” Trump said, adding “we don’t have the same country anymore, we have a divided mess.”

“We will fight for our Constitution. This is long from over,” he said outside of the Manhattan courtroom.
