Given that Mahomes and Kelce are opening a steakhouse, one could be forgiven for thinking that it will be a high-class restaurant for people, but as is the way Mahomes and Kelce do their business, they want to make it affordable for the “everyday” person.

We actually thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high price that not everybody can go, so we’re gonna make it a place where hopefully Kansas City can call it home and that everybody can be there and really enjoy it,” Mahomes said via Kansascity.com.

While there is officially no date set for 1587 Prime to be opened, the fact that Noble 33, the hospitality company working with Kelce and Mahomes, is looking for an executive chef, signals that perhaps things are getting close.

Set to be located at the Loews Kansas City hotel at 1515 Wyandotte St. per Kansascity.com, it is clear that both Mahomes and Kelce are laying down roots in the city.
