Exclusive: Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Had a ‘Friends’-Like Thanksgiving Reunion….Read More
Nobody does Thanksgiving like a ’90s or early 2000s TV show, whether you’re rewatching Geller Cup on Friends or Gossip Girl’s infamous “Whatcha Say” scene. While those beloved shows are no longer on the air, Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox practically just recreated an episode of the iconic sitcom.
The two real-life pals and former co-stars reunited for a Friendsgiving celebration. On Monday, Aniston, who played Rachel Green in the Emmy-winning comedy, shared an Instagram Story that captured a collection of Polaroid photos against a wooden table. In the Polaroids, Aniston could be seen posing alongside her companions, including Cox, who played Monica Geller on the hit ’90s series. Eagle-eyed fans also spotted Aniston’s close friend Sandra Bullock in the snaps, per Page Six.
“A few scenes from Friendsgiving,” Aniston captioned the snap with a red heart emoji.
Aniston has been known to host star-studded Friendsgivings over the years. (For Thanksgiving outfit ideas, we’ve got you.) In 2019, Cox, Bullock, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and her ex-husband Justin Theroux, were all in attendance. At the time, Theroux, with whom Aniston had remained close after splitting in 2018, shared a selfie to Instagram from the party. “#fakesgiving,” he captioned the snap. “Very VERY thankful for these friends and these nights.”
It’s only fitting that Aniston is a fan of the holiday as Thanksgiving episodes became a staple on Friends. In fact, there was a Thanksgiving episode every season, a few of the most memorable being “The One With All the Thanksgivings,” “The One With Chandler in a Box,” and “The One With the Football.”
Aniston and Cox have remained super close over the years, but she isn’t Aniston’s only Friends co-star to remain in her inner circle. Reese Witherspoon, who appeared as Rachel’s sister in several episodes, now stars alongside Aniston in The Morning Show. In a recent post, Witherspoon opened up about getting to work with her “bff.”
Work just hits different with your bff ,” Witherspoon wrote alongside a montage of behind-the-scenes videos of the two on set. The video was set to a sweet audio that said, “There’s no greater gift in the world than having a coworker [who] you work with regularly [who] you can truly call one of your best friends [who] you just love. Because it makes your day so much better. You’re like, ‘I can’t wait to see that person. I cannot wait.'”
