According to a report from Marca, Jennifer Lopez is trying to use “family time” to reconnect with her estranged husband.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s split is proving to be as complicated as their on-again, off-again romance. Just months after filing for divorce, Lopez seems determined to rekindle their relationship. According to a report from Marca, Lopez is trying to use “family time” to reconnect with her estranged husband.
A source close to the situation told Heat World, “Jennifer Lopez is refusing to give up on Ben Affleck.” The insider explained that Lopez has been showing up at the same events as Affleck and pushing for joint family activities. “She’s demanding they continue group activities with the kids, and if he doesn’t agree, then he’s the bad guy,” the source added. Now, Lopez is urging for joint celebrations of Thanksgiving and Christmas, citing the importance of family, but Affleck is reportedly sceptical of her intentions, not buying into the idea that it’s all for the children.
Jennifer Lopez not giving up on Ben Affleck
Adding to the tension, Marca reports that Lopez feels jealousy over Affleck’s newfound friendship with David and Victoria Beckham, following their divorce. This friendship, which has blossomed after the split, has only fueled her feelings of unease.
Despite Lopez’s efforts, Ben Affleck remains hesitant about a possible reconciliation. Sources suggest that while Lopez is focused on co-parenting and trying to maintain a sense of family for the sake of their children, Affleck is unsure about revisiting their past.
JLo and Ben’s complicated relationship
Ben and Jennifer’s relationship timeline has been tumultuous. After initially dating in the early 2000s and getting engaged, they called off their wedding in 2005. They both married other people, but their romance reignited in 2021. They tied the knot in 2022, only to file for divorce in August 2024, just two years later.
