Just In: How Travis Kelce Really Feels About Taylor Swift Missing Chiefs Games Amid Breakup Speculation… See More
Swift has missed the last two games, leaving fans wondering if there was any merit to a purported breakup contract.
After missing her second Chiefs game in a row, some fans are starting to wonder if there was any validity to the reported leaked breakup contract written for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
If you missed it, a photo spread online purported to be of a document written by Kelce’s PR firm, planning a breakup announcement between the couple on Sept. 28 and sending fans spiraling.
Full Scope PR, however, denied having anything to do with the document, claiming the pages were “entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency.”
Many people, including Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, shut down the idea that the relationship was a PR stunt over the last year. However, when Swift was absent from the stands for a second week during the Chiefs’ game against the Chargers, some folks questioned the timing of the supposed breakup date and the lack of a WAGlor appearance.
In response to the more negative commentary, one fan dug up an interview with Kelce from 2016, where he revealed that he didn’t at all expect his partner to attend every single game.
“If you’re dating a professional athlete, I do not believe, at least for me, that you have to go to all the games,” he said. “I mean, there’s eight home games, eight away games, plus playoffs. I don’t even expect my parents and my friends to make every single game.”
Something that I’ll always remember is when I would finish a take and I’d say cut and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear someone cheering ‘woo’ from across the studio where we were shooting it, and that one person was my boyfriend, Travis,” she said. “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I wanna thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”
Swift, who will soon kick off the final leg of her Eras Tour, was present at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on the team when they kicked off the season on Sept. 5. She was back in her suite on Sept. 15 for the Chiefs-Cincinnati Bengals matchup before missing her first game of the season on Sept. 22.
The next game Swift may be able to attend will be the Oct. 7 home game against the New Orleans Saints.
