On her latest street-style outing, Jennifer Lopez blended two of today’s most popular trends.

The multi-hyphenate combined balletcore with preppy style while out and about in Los Angeles this past weekend. Her monochromatic, all-black outfit consisted of a few relaxed wardrobe staples, from a lightweight cashmere Dior sweater featuring a pussy-bow collar to a pair of low-rise tapered cigarette pants. The real star of the show, however, was J.Lo’s footwear.

The “Can’t Get Enough” singer opted for black satin ballet flats, also from Dior, that include delicate details like crisscrossing lace-up ankle straps and a tiny pearl adorning the toe box. Jen rounded out her look with even more black accessories, including angular thick-framed shades and a rectangular quilted Chanel handbag.

Preppy and balletcore aren’t the only popular trends that the celeb has been flirting with as of late. The mogul is one of the legions of celebrities championing the boho-chic resurgence—a trend that also seems to have found favor in the wardrobes of Dakota Johnson, Katie Holmes, and Jodie Turner-Smith. In particular, J.Lo was recently seen out and about in looks that boasted typical boho motifs, including a fringe suede crossbody bag, a patchwork denim maxi skirt, an embroidered minidress, and a transparent ruffled Chloé gown.

The musician’s outing in Los Angeles follows her recent Interview cover story, in which she opened up about navigating life amidst her divorce from Ben Affleck.

“Being in a relationship doesn’t define me,” she told Nikki Glaser during the convo. “I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself. I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, ‘No, I’m actually good.’”
