King Charles delights UK artists with good news: ‘Don’t stop your future’

King Charles is hoping to make a mark in his reign as he shared a uplifting news for the artists in UK, coming from different backgrounds.

The monarch, who founded The Prince’s Trust in 1976, had joined force with Hollywood A-lister, Idris Elba, to help support young people aspiring to build a creative career.

Elba, who himself befitted from Charles’ foundation when he was a teen, shares the same ideology with the monarch that all young people should have an equal chance to succeed regardless of their background and whatever that is limiting them.

“Where our story starts is important, but there are no limits to where our story can go – and our alumnus, @idriselba, is a prime example,” a statement from the Prince’s Trust read on social media

elbahopefoundation and Prince’s Trust are proud to launch the Creative Futures initiative, which will give young people in Manchester the opportunity to gain skills and confidence to thrive in the creative industries through a range of free courses,” the message continued.

“From DJing and film-making to theatre and enterprise, it’s time to learn from the man who has tried, and succeeded, in all areas.”

The message was accompanied by a heartfelt video of how Elba made his career.

Previously, the Luther actor shared that “many of us working in the arts today, myself included, only made it because of programmes like this when we were young.”

He added, “Today’s youth deserve at least the same chance, and more. ‘Creative Futures’ exists to give the same hope, support and success I’ve found to the next generation.”
