Prince William, Kate Middleton release big statement as King Charles, Queen Camilla continue Australia tour

Prince William, who’s seemingly officiating the Firm’s matters in the UK during King Charles’ visit to Australia, has revealed a big plan in the monarch’s absence.

Kensington Palace has shared a meaningful message of Prince William as King Charles and Queen Camilla continue their historic trip to Australia.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have announced on X (formerly Twitter): “Marking Black History Month and recognising the incredible contributions of the black community, not just this month but every day of the year!”

The statement continues: “This year’s theme of ‘Reclaiming Narratives’ encourages us to shine a spotlight on the untold stories, the unsung heroes, and the everyday individuals making a big difference.

“To celebrate we asked a number of our patronages to highlight some brilliant people whose work is having a lasting impact.”

By sharing this important message, William has seemingly tried to explain his people that what kind of king he would be.

Black History Month is an annually observed commemorative month originating in the United States, where it is also known as African-American History Month and was formerly known as Negro History Month before 1976.

It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora, initially lasting a week before becoming a month-long observation since 1970. It is celebrated in February in the United States and Canada, where it has received official recognition from governments, but more recently has also been celebrated in Ireland and the United Kingdom where it is observed in October.

Since the first Negro History Week in 1926, several countries celebrate Black people and their contribution to history and culture, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Black History Month continues the discussion of Black people and their contributions through activities such as museum exhibits and film screenings, and by encouraging the study of achievements by them year-round.
