Wdynamic career as a legendary athlete, successful entrepreneur, and engaged mom, Serena Williams is now focusing on teaching her daughter Olympia important life skills-starting with financial literacy. Serena shared a sweet moment on Instagram, where she introduced Olympia to money basics through Mellody Hobson’s book, Priceless Facts about Money.

The book breaks down financial concepts in a friendly, approachable way for kids and Williams has taken this opportunity to help Olympia develop responsible money habits in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

No matter how much or how many you have, everyone has to deal with money. Understanding that can help you master it,” Olympia read.

Earlier this year, Williams admitted on the show Hot Ones that she sometimes forgot to collect her winnings during her career.

Williams’ ventures
Today, her business ventures include Serena Ventures, an investment firm, and her beauty brand, WYN-both of which have given her a deeper understanding of finances, an insight she’s eager to share with her daughter.

But Serena’s lessons aren’t limited to finances. In another recent post, she was seen back on the tennis court with Olympia, teaching her a few racket skills.

Though Olympia hasn’t always shown much interest in tennis, Williams is giving her a chance to experience the sport in a low-pressure setting, adding to the range of life lessons she’s sharing.

“I don’t have the patience to teach tennis. It’s so weird but I don’t really like to play with people who don’t know how to play tennis well; it drives me nuts. So, I signed her up for a class, a private teacher. She came in, I didn’t wanna tell her,” she told Ellen DeGeneres in 2022

“I don’t push her because she’s four, she’s alright. I’ve seen four-year-olds that might take her out on the court.

“Her ambition is playing princess games. She loves princess games and the more we can play anything with princesses, that’s her whole life.”
