Latest Update: Simone Biles’ Youngest Family Member Baby Biles Has Mother Worried About Recent Decision…. Check In
Gymnastics practically runs through the veins of the Biles Family. Simone Biles, the GOAT herself, set the stage, and now look at her niece Ronni. Even before turning 2, her gymnastic activities are blowing minds. She follows her TT on television with rapt attention, tries to mimic her moves, and even goes to the family gym World Champions Center to rub shoulders with the Olympians! If these were not enough, at just nine months old—headed straight to the 2023 US Championships to watch her aunt perform live. Now, she is ready to formally get some training. But wait, that is not in gymnastics!
Heartbroken? Can not blame you. After all, how can we forget those adorable snaps of little Ronni donning the mini version of Simone Biles’ “Go for Glory” gymnastics uniform by GK Elite? “let’s gooooo TT @simonebiles, auntie hype queen Jo @jordanchiles , & TEAM @usagym,” the caption of the post by Ronni’s parents continued. “we will be cheering loud & proud in Bercy arena ️ ✨thank you @gkelite for letting me look like all the queens out on the floor today!” But now, it looks like Ronni Biles is going to amp up the cuteness quotient in a different uniform.
This spring, she’s ready to swap her leotard for a soccer jersey! Her mom recently shared the news on Instagram, saying, “Ronni is signed up for soccer in the spring. This could be a huge hit or an epic eee. Hopefully she plays nice with others.” With her natural athleticism and Simone as her inspiration, it’ll be exciting to see if she brings the same spark to the soccer field! In the accompanying snap, Sammi added a photoshopped picture of Ronni projecting how she might look in a soccer Jersey! Curious about where she will start her dribble game?
The two-year-old is set to join a Soccer Shots program for kids aged 2 to 8. Soccer Shots is a Pennsylvania-based venture that offers soccer lessons under 3 categories. The ‘Mini’ is a high-energy program that introduces children to the fundamentals of soccer, such as how to use the feet, dribbling, and the basic rules of the game. This program is ideal for children ages 2 to 3 years old. Understandably, Ronni must have been enrolled in this. The venture has lessons to offer for the elder children as well.
Its Classic curriculum is designed to keep kids ages 3 to 5 moving, learning the sport, and having fun. In the next level, through the Premier program, school-going children are challenged through soccer skills, fun games, and team interaction. They are also gradually introduced to competition during this. The venture is the brainchild of two passionate football souls who recognized the lack of quality soccer programs for children under age 8.
One of the owners, Jeremy Sorzano was a defender of the Charlotte Eagles Soccer Club from 1996-2003. He, with Jason Webb, his soccer teammates both in college and professionally, formed Soccer Shots in 1997. The success of the venture in Charlotte, NC, and Harrisburg, PA, led to several of their friends and former teammates wanting to get involved.
In 2005, Soccer Shots began franchising and opened its first four franchises in OH, DE, FL, and PA. That was followed by the growth of the business around the country and into Canada. From its humble beginnings, the venture has grown tremendously with over 300 territories across 43 states and 2 Canadian provinces. There were over 560,000 enrollments in Soccer Shots programming in 2023. Last year, Sorzano spoke to CharlotteFive explaining how Soccer Shots is different from other programs.
One is obviously the curriculum. We tailor the sessions to the various age groups we serve. Our goal is for children to find success and hopefully fall in love with soccer and want to continue to play,” Sorzano had said. Here is hoping that Ronni falls in love with soccer just as she did with gymnastics and we might get to some more adorable scenes. Can you recall her time at the World Champions Center?
Ronni put on her tiny GK leotard and stepped into the gym. And Sammi did not miss to post pictures of her taking part in the sport. The caption of the Instagram post by Sammi read, “The way she is so intrigued by this sport at such a young age is so special for many reasons.” She continued, “WCC’s littlest elite/honorary member is kidding but ahhh so adorable.” Simone Biles’ niece had fallen so in love with the sport, she was skipping things that other children of her age might prefer to do, for instance cartoons, to watch gymnastics instead!
In another Instagram post, her mother showed Baby Biles mimicking her aunt while watching her perform on television. “Anyone else’s 1.5-year-old skipping cartoons for @USAGym?! Or just ours not complaining one bit,” read the caption. After all this, the decision to suddenly enroll her in a soccer program might seem a bit sudden. But looks like Ronni’s parents want her to explore all the options. And look at what age they have started promoting athleticism! But before we get to see her dribbling skills, Ronnie is happy being a fan and adoring her legendary aunt.
Baby Biles even spent time with Simone Biles during the GOAT tour!
Simone Biles arrived in Houston for the GOAT tour show on October 19th. Everyone was excited to see the prodigal daughter return home after his victory at the Olympics. However, none could match the enthusiasm of Baby Biles finally seeing her aunt again. Sammi Biles recorded the video of the child walking towards the Toyota Center to watch the show and catching a glimpse of Simone Biles on the big screen.
When asked who she was, Baby Biles couldn’t contain her excitement, shouting, “TT!” Her mom jumped in to fuel the energy, chanting along, “TT go! TT go!”—and Sammi couldn’t help but clap along with the enthusiasm. But while everyone else had their eyes glued to the stage, Ronni’s attention was elsewhere.
In a video shared by her mom, little Ronni sat on her dad’s lap, her curious eyes scanning the crowd, trying to catch a glimpse of Simone Biles. It was a full-on “aunt admiration” moment. The concert, designed mostly for kids, turned into the perfect backdrop for Baby Biles to soak in the magic of watching her aunt perform. And you’ve got to imagine, that’s the kind of experience that fuels a love for sports. Whether it’s gymnastics or soccer, well, that’s a whole other story for the future!
