Strong Reason Why Chiefs star Rashee Rice ‘could avoid punishment until 2025 amid investigation into 119mph car crash’, and by 2025 the charges will be totally dropped
A police call sheet obtained by the Dallas Morning News lists Rice, 23, as the suspected driver of a Corvette that was racing a Lamborghini before a crash that resulted in four people suffering minor injuries; two were hospitalized and two were treated at the scene.
The drivers of the Corvette and LamborghinA vehicle “believed to be registered or leased to” Rice was involved in the car crash on the North Central Expressway in northeast Dallas around 6:20 p.m. CT, the report said.
The Corvette and Lamborghini lost control while speeding in the far left lane, and the Lamborghini “hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles,” Lowman told the Morning News.
It’s unclear if Rice is suspected of any charges; as of Sunday morning, Rice wasn’t appearing in county jail records, per the Morning News. The newly crowned Super Bowl champ grew up in North Richland Hills outside of Fort Worth.
He later played four years at SMU before he was selected by the Chiefs in the second round (55th overall) of last year’s NFL draft.
In his rookie season, Rice had 79 receptions for 938 yards, tallying a team-leading seven touchdown catches across 16 game appearances, including eight starts
