Amid mounting allegations against the rapper, there’s a lot of misinformation, too.
As allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs continue to mount, so too do the conspiracy theories. Thanks to the unbridled nature of social media, there’s a rumor going around that Will Smith “sold” his daughter Willow to Diddy—but is there any truth to it?

On September 16, 2024, Diddy was arrested in connection to sex trafficking charges and details of his now-infamous “freak off” parties came to light. Allegedly, the rapper had stockpiled more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube for parties that were “elaborate and produced sex performances that Combs arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded.”

As we said, because Diddy‘s alleged activity has been going under a veil of secrecy for how knows long, conspiracy theories, including that he had a secret tunnel to Michael Jackson’s house, have emerged.
What happened with Willow Smith and Diddy?
A few TikTokers made the totally false claim that Willow Smith was “sold” to Diddy by her father, Will Smith—there’s absolutely no evidence of this and the Smiths have not been implicated in the crimes Diddy’s been charged with.
From what we can tell, the Willow Smith and Diddy rumors were sparked thanks to a post on Facebook with no verifying or credible information. The only connection between Willow and Diddy that we can find is that she attended Diddy’s son Christian’s 16th birthday party in 2015.
Will Smith and Diddy, however, have been connected since the 90s. In 2004, Smith attended one of Diddy’s parties in Miami, and there are photos of them looking friendly together at the 1997 MTV Movie Awards, as well as the Grammys in 1998.
A 2023 interview with Diddy on Jimmy Kimmel also resurfaced amid Diddy’s arrest, in which he responded to the rumors that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith had tried to initiate a threesome with Jennifer Lopez. Diddy called the story “crazy” and stated, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
