Latest news:Why Buckingham Palace Waited Until 9 PM to Announce King Charles’ Hospitalization:read more:

King Charles was briefly hospitalized yesterday due to side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment, news which Buckingham Palace (along with news outlets) announced at exactly 9:00 pm (5:00 pm ET) due to an embargo
Sooo, why did they wait all day to inform the public of Charles’ hospitalization? According to The Express, his medical team was busy “working with his staff” to figure out whether a planned royal engagement should go ahead or not, and ultimately decided to “postpone to safeguard the King’s recovery.”
A royal source also said the “recovery path continues in a positive direction” and that Charles’ hospital stay was “no drama.”
Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace kept things brief and to the point in their statement, saying “Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital. His Majesty’s afternoon engagements were therefore postponed.”
The statement continued, “His Majesty has since returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary programme will also be rescheduled. His Majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”
The palace also said, per NBC, “He very much hopes that they can rescheduled in due course and offers his deepest apologies to all those who had worked so hard to make the planned visit possible.”
