Barcelona were without Raphinha, who has been an undeniable standout this season, due to his exertions with Brazil, while Robert Lewandowski began the game on the bench after he picked up a knock playing for Poland, but they were comfortable winners all the same, moving three points clear of Real Madrid.

In a half they dominated, Barca almost had a third before half-time but Torres’ superb free-kick could only rattle the bar.

Lewandowski did come off the bench in the second half, and he scored on 75 minutes, directing a powerful header into the back of the net after a superb delivery from Fermin Lopez.

One very clever dummy saw him leave the pressing striker in the dust. Barely tested when it came to actual saves.

Some glorious touches and one slaloming run in the first half saw him skin two players and only narrowly miss the bottom corner. More than one key pass, and the kind of attacking flair that saw Osasuna regularly double up on him.

Showed a striker’s instinct to meet Balde’s cross and open the scoring. Led the line well before his substitution.

Got away with his poor penalty, as he scored the retake. Was flourishing in the pocket between left wing and the 10, but had to be subbed after sustaining an injury.
