Patrick Mahomes is providing insight into the alchemy of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback shared what it was really like behind the scenes of his adorable double date night with the couple and his wife Brittany Mahomes following the “Cruel Summer” singer’s Eras Tour show in Amsterdam in July.

“We were just having fun and enjoying a dinner just like anyone else would,” Patrick told The Athletic in an interview published Aug. 20. “That’s what makes it so great. We don’t make it more than what it is; it’s just friendship, fellowship and enjoying everyone’s success.”
And for Patrick, that attitude is what makes Travis and Taylor’s relationship of over a year work so well. After all, the NFL tight end’s life may have changed in a fortnight, but he’s still the “same guy.”

“It’s a huge platform and everyone in the world can see it, deservedly so because of how great Taylor is, but it’s still Travis,” Patrick continued. “I think that’s what makes it so cool, even though it’s such a big thing for the world.”
