Neffsville native and “Chicago Fire” star Taylor Kinney was on “Today” Monday.
The NBC show will have its winter finale Tuesday. “Chicago Fire” made it to 100 episodes because it resonates with viewers, Kinney told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.
“It’s a noble profession and I think historically, especially, you know, in New York and just across the country, this is a revered profession and there’s no lack of drama or stories to be told,” said the Lancaster Mennonite graduate.
When former fiancée Lady Gaga came up, Kinney joked that he was dating the show’s hosts.

He also said he’s a baseball fan who didn’t want to miss watching the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. Kinney went to a game one night and managed to make it to the set the next day
