Breaking News: Jason Kelce Says Wife Kylie Has Given Him a Workout Warning: ‘If You Get a Six-Pack, I Will Be Furious’…. See More
The former Philadelphia Eagles center says chiseled abs “are not happening” as he continues to lose weight following his retirement from the NFL
Jason Kelce shared that his wife Kylie has a very specific — and surprising — request as he continues on his fitness journey.
“I was working out the other day and Ky was like, ‘If you get a six-pack, I will be furious,’ “ he told host Eric Wood on the Oct. 18 episode of the Centered on Buffalo podcast.
I’m like, alright. I guess that’s not happening,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center, 36, said with a laugh.
“She likes the keg,” Wood joked.
Kelce — who in June shared that he’d lost 20 lbs. since his retirement from the NFL — gave an update on his weight loss, saying, “I was doing really good, and then I keep doing really good and then, like, I’m in Cincinnati yesterday and I’m freaking eating these chicken sandwiches and Skyline” — a reference to The Queen City’s famed chili chain.
You load it up when you’re on the road too much,” said Kelce — who was recently filmed chugging a beer at a tailgate with Eagles fans.
He and Wood joked about Kelce’s impressive beer consumption when Wood asked how much beer he drank while supporting brother Travis Kelce at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills playoffs.
“They were passing them out … it would be hard to put a number on it,” Kelce admitted. “It was well north of 20. It was probably in the 30s.”
Kelce recalculated, saying, “Then you factor in the game — you’re drinking at the game — I mean, it was up there. It might have been a couple cases.”
Kelce, who originally shared that he had a goal weight of 250 lbs., amended that target during the interview.
“I think I’m somewhere between 270, 275. That’s good — I’m happy with it,” Kelce told Wood, adding, “I still want to kind of get down to 260 eventually this year.”

However, he said, “a lot of guys lose too much too fast, and it feels like it just doesn’t fall off properly or you look drastically different.”
“As I’ve gone down, I’m like — I feel like 260 is the right number but we’ll reassess when we get there.
