Heartbroken: Chiefs Owner’s Wife Shares ‘Painful’ Experience at 49ers Stadium After Patrick Mahomes-Led Chiefs Went 6–0 …. See More
Mind games. They’re a big part of any sport. And as Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs got in the zone for a Super Bowl rematch in Week 7, it seemed like the team’s owners got in on the mind games, too!
On Friday, a couple of days before touching down in the Bay Area to watch the Chiefs take on the 49ers, Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia, attended the Texas Rose Festival Ladies Luncheon. She talked about “Faith, Family, & Football,” and what better way to discuss football than by flaunting your franchise’s four Lombardi Trophies?
Well, that’s precisely what Tavia Hunt did, and it was just a couple of weeks after her daughters, Gracie and Ava, flexed the Chiefs’ iced-out Super Bowl rings. Considering Kansas City had a bye week following their win over the Saints, the past two weeks have been all about their Super Bowl LVIII rematch against San Francisco. And the Hunt family sure seemed keen to ensure everyone knew what happened the last time the two sides met.

The (possible) mind games worked because the Chiefs did it again! Securing a 28-18 victory against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, they are proving themselves indomitable, becoming the only team to start the season with a 6-0 record. Before the game, Tavia Hunt shared a carousel on Instagram featuring pictures of the family at the stadium. And the 53-year-old was dressed for the occasion… but not for the aftermath.
Wearing a striking red pantsuit, a red hat, and a side bag with “Chiefs” written, Tavia stood next to her husband (and Chiefs’ CEO) Clark Hunt. She wrote, “Back in the Bay for a Super Bowl rematch! It’s a beautiful fall day for football. Let’s go, Chiefs!❤️” It was, indeed, a beautiful day for the owners. But as Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs navigated the challenge posed by the 49ers to emerge victorious, Tavia Hunt didn’t have the same luck with a fashion choice she made.
The red heels she paired with her pantsuit spelled trouble for her, and Gracie Hunt ensured everyone knew it! As the mother-daughter duo left the stadium, Gracie shared a picture of her mother on her Instagram story. Walking ahead of Gracie, Tavia had removed her heels and walked barefoot. Gracie’s caption? “When the heels are too painful” Tavia reposted that picture on her story, adding a “Day in the life” sticker to go with it.
Well, if that day in her life included Mahomes & Co. adding another win to their record as they chase a three-peat, we can be sure it was a good day. We can also be sure that the fans Tavia met at the Texas Rose Festival in Tyler, Texas, were just as pumped about the Chiefs win. After the luncheon, Tavia shared pictures on Instagram, one of which featured Randi Mahomes – the Chiefs quarterback’s mother.
Tavia wrote, “Thank you to the lovely, kind people of Tyler showing me why Tyler is the treasure of Texas,” adding, “Thanks Randi & Patrick for making them Chiefs fans!” Randi Mahomes commented on the post, too, writing, “Thank you for all you do! Your dedication to your faith, family, and, of course, football is inspiring,” responding to the gratitude with affection.
Speaking of love and affection, Tavia Hunt had nothing but those for the Chiefs after their victory over the 49ers. And she wasn’t the only one who showed it…
Much to the fans’ delight, the Chiefs remain unbeaten to 6-0 with a 28-18 victory over the 49ers. Even with 2 interceptions, Patrick Mahomes’ emerged as a key player, making the first rushing touchdown this season and a career-long 33-yard run. Intercepting 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy 3 times, even Jaden Hicks, Justin Reid, and Chris Roland-Wallace delivered phenomenal performances besides Mahomes.
Following the 28-18 win, when the Chiefs posted the result on Instagram, Tavia Hunt reposted it on her story, writing, ” 6 – Ohhhhhhh. Soooo happy & thankful!” Gracie Hunt followed suit, commenting, “So grateful!” But what did Taylor Swift do?
Right before performing ‘So High School,’ the song she wrote about her relationship with the Chiefs tight end, she struck the arrow pose. But that wasn’t all. Every time Kelce attends one of her shows, Taylor Swift changes the lyrics to her song, ‘Karma,’ to say, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.” But even though Travis wasn’t in Miami, she changed the lyrics, with many fans suggesting she did it to celebrate Kansas City’s win.
That said, as Patrick Mahomes & Co. prepare for the next matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, they continue their bid for a perfect season.
