Latest News: Prince Harry drops surprise book release during King Charles tour… Check In
Prince Harry follows up on bestselling memoir Spare with quiet new release
Prince Harry’s explosive memoir Spare made waves when it first hit shelves in January 2023, and now a fresh edition has quietly arrived.
The paperback version of Spare was released in the US on October 22 and will hit UK stores two days later.
While the Duke of Sussex previously hinted at having enough material for a sequel, fans won’t find any new chapters in this edition.
As is typical with paperback releases, the content remains unchanged. Penguin Random House, the book’s publisher, confirmed in August that the paperback would feature the same cover as the hardcover, with a newly designed package.
Among the revelations, Harry accused his brother, Prince William, of physically attacking him during a confrontation at Kensington Palace, and suggested that his father, King Charles, prioritized his own interests over Harry’s well-being.
The Duke also took aim at Queen Camilla, branding her “dangerous” and accusing her of rehabilitating her public image at his expense, claiming she sacrificed him on “her personal PR altar.”
In an interview with The Telegraph last year, he revealed that the original manuscript for Spare was twice as long, saying, “It could have been two books.”
He admitted that there were details, particularly concerning his relationships with William and Charles, that he deliberately left out, explaining, “There are some things…that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me.”
